Snow retaining nets for ski-jumps are placed on the runways in order to retain the snow in winter. The slope is covered with slippery synthetic fibres, so that the jumps can be used in summer.
In order for the snow to last the winter, the ski slope must be equipped with very large-mesh rope nets to hold the snow in place.
The nets should be laid in autumn, before the first snowfall, and removed for the summer.
The netting is fixed together with snap-hooks (resistance 3000Kg – with safety latch).
The nets are fixed to the crimpings by 2m long polyamide lanyards fixed to the cables.
We manufacture these snow retention nets to measure, according to the schedule given by the owners of the ski-jump.
We can install them on site on request.
