In terms of weight, PVC can range from 600 g/m² to more than 900 g/m² depending on the use.
Polyester truck tarp
The polyester tarp is lightweight, hard-wearing and multi-purpose. It is perfectly suited to tarping applications requiring high flexibility and low weight. Waterproof and watertight, it is often used to protect sensitive materials or waste. Thanks to its flexibility, it is easy to handle and remains highly resistant to the constraints of road transport.
Available in several sizes and colours, it can be made to measure according to the required length and width.
What weight for your truck tarp?
It defines the tarp’s thickness and strength. The higher the weight, the more robust and durable the material is.
- PVC 600 g/m²: standard use, good protection, ideal for a trailer or container for regular transport.
- PVC 700-900 g/m²: intensive use, high resistance to bad weather and tearing, suitable for container trucks and long-distance heavy-duty trucks.
- Polyester 400-600 g/m²: lightweight tarp, easy handling, ideal for temporary covers or specific needs.
- Polyethylene: often used for economical, multi-purpose tarps.
